L-14 PAREIDOLIA

 PAREIDOLIA

Pareidolia is a condition in which a person sees faces, animals or things in inanimate objects, where none exists. For example, seeing smiling faces or animal forms in the clouds and the like.

For example: Have you ever seen the face of a duck on a lock? Or in a vegetable an alien? Or in the veins of the wood a dog? Well, that’s all pareidolias.

Have a look at Keith Larsen's work. This Artist sees faces everywhere he looks and turns them into characters.

Now is your turn:

Take a picture of an object where you can see or imagine a face.
Then, inspired by the photo, make an illustration creating a character like in the example and give it a name.

Stick the photo and the picture.
